The Kitchen and Bath associate's program will prepare students for entry-level positions with a focused specialization in these two important areas of the home. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to participate in the design, sales, and installation of kitchen and bath projects. Typical duties would include: selection of products, working with showrooms, complete drawings, and related construction documents. Kitchen and bath designers work with contractors, builders, manufacturers, retailers, and private clients for completion of design development, budget management, and installation of kitchen and baths. You'll study computer-aided drafting in order to plan kitchen and bath spaces in a residential setting. Learn about lighting, materials, budgets, and estimates plus building systems and codes, along with products and appliances. You?ll also gain skills in business fundamentals such as project bidding, plus an introduction to public relations, marketing, and promotions.
